The German Grand Prix returns in Hockenheim, Germany for the eleventh race of the 2019 Formula 1 Series. The race begins on July 26th with free practice and ends on the 28th with the Grand Prix.
This will mark the 6th time that a formula one Grand Prix is being held in Germany, ever since the creation of the sport back in 1950. The venue for the German Grand Prix has changed five times in the past, with Hockenheim being the current circuit.
It’s expected that the Silver Arrow Racers, Lewis Hamilton and Valtteri Bottas will come in a ½ order at the end of the race. Lewis Hamilton is expected to place first and get his seventh victory at a German Grand Prix since first entering Formula One.
Bottas will be avidly fighting against his teammate for points as the summer bring draws closer. Hockenheim is a narrow circuit, and there’s the possibility of the two teammates crashing into each other as Rosberg & Hamilton did back in 2016.

The chance of other drives such as Charles Leclerc, Sebastian Vettel, Max Verstappen or Lando Norris to win is becoming more significant with more upgrades to the car. The chances for these drivers to win had become even better as of July 24th, 2019 when the FIA Stewards revealed that tweaks had been made to the two available DRS Zones. Additionally, the pit straight away DRS Zone at Hockenheim has been removed. This will surely make for a different race come Sunday.

Drivers To Watch Out For
Before reviewing the odds for the Hockenheim 2019 German Grand Prix, let’s find out who will most likely be the top four drivers of the race. Unexpected drivers like Pierre Gasly (+100,000) or Carlos Sainz (+50,000) could surprise the grid with a podium finish. Considering the changes were made to Hockenheim, there is a small chance of a surprising result for the race. However, the top four racers of the season will most likely stand on the podium.
Lewis Hamilton
Lewis Hamilton is the current Formula 1 Champion, dominating over the entire grid with his Mercedes W10 Formula One sportscar. The driver’s formidable skills on any circuit have surpassed the expectations of any team leader, with Hamilton beating nearly every record held priory by an F1 Champion.
The only driver still holding records that Lewis doesn’t is Rudolf Caracciola (6). Hamilton has already won the German GP four times; you can bet he’s going to make it a fifth in 2019.

Valtteri Bottas
Since the beginning of the 2017 Formula One Season, Valtteri Bottas has been the second-in-command for Team Mercedes. This season is a significant one for Bottas.
The Mercedes Team Manager has publicly stated that if Bottas cannot drive at the same pace as Lewis this year, then he will lose his position with the Team effective immediately. So, for the yet-to-be F1 Champion, the pressure to race like he never has before has never been more significant. However, with his performance in the first half of the season, it’s unlikely that Valtteri will have his contracted renewed with Mercedes.

Charles Leclerc
Charles Leclerc has shown his capabilities as a Formula One driver in the last three races significantly, outpacing his teammate Vettel in Austria and Britain. The young driver is slated to be a dangerous force on the grid, with his rivalry against Max Verstappen coming to light quickly.
During the Austria race, Charles Leclerc held the first-place grid position until losing it to Max Verstappen in the final three laps of the British Grand Prix. The rise of Leclerc has allowed for him to become the third top contender for the Hockenheim 2019 German Grand Prix.

Max Verstappen, the future of Formula One and a destined champion of the sport, is tied for the third-place contender position with his rival Charles Leclerc.
Max has dominated the mid-field drivers, competing with Mercedes and Ferrari with every race that’s passed this season. Honda & Red Bull have been working together to upgrade the RB15 Formula 1 Racecar to create a pace that can rival the likes of Ferrari.
The partnership has proved fruitful, with that goal accomplished by Austria. Max has actively fought against Charles in the last three races, displaying a rivalry that’s been built since childhood.
The chances of these two battling against each other on the circuit again are high, and one of them placing third on the podium is even higher.

The Hockenheim 2019 German Grand Prix will be a different race than the one’s seen all year. It’s slated to be thunder storming during the race in Hockenheim, Germany. This means that there could be a crash, slip-ups on the track and multiple pits stops to account for the poor weather. This could mean that Lewis Hamilton might not be on the 1st place grid position by the end of the race. The only way to tell is by tuning in with ESPN, Sky Sports or TSN on Sunday, July 28th, 2019.
