Asian Poker Tour partners with DafabetThe Asian Poker Tour (APT) has announced a new partnership with Dafabet, a privately owned online gambling company based in the Philippines. The new “multi-event” deal will see Dafabet sponsor several events taking place at APT festivals.

The partnership kicks off during this year’s APT Seoul, scheduled from May 29 to June 9 at The Walkerhill Paradise Casino. The online betting firm will also team up with the tour during its Ho Chi Minh and Incheon stops, with a possibility of extending to more APT stops in the future.

The latest partnership deal is not the first time that Dafabet has teamed up with the APT. The online betting brand has been sponsoring various APT events over the years.

APT Seoul

The upcoming APT Seoul features $300,000 in guarantees. The main highlight will be the $1,100 buy-in Main Event taking place on May 31 to June 4. There will also be a $1,700 buy-in Championship Event running from June 5-9. Both events offer $150,000 in guaranteed prize pools.

Also included in the APT Seoul schedule are seven high roller events, with buy-ins ranging from $1,800 to $2,700. All events will use a shot clock and will follow the Big Blind Ante structure, a first in APT history.

The Dafabet brand is set to appear at the Head Hunter, the Players Party and the Main Event.

Why Dafabet Is A Great Partner?

Dafabet started operating in 2004 and has since joined the list of the world’s most recognizable brands, partly due to its connections with the English Premier League and other major sporting teams. Dafabet partnered with several football clubs like Aston Villa, Sunderland, Everton, Celtic, Burnley and Blackburn Rovers. The company was also among the sponsors of the Welsh Premier League.

The brand has great visibility as some of the company’s previous brand ambassadors are TV pundit Alan Shearer, snooker superstar Jimmy White and former footballer Steve McManaman.

Dafabet is a subsidiary of Asian Betting and Gaming Enterprise (Asian BGE), a company that operates online and land-based gaming in the Asia Pacific region.

To date, APT events have awarded more than $30 million in combined prize money to players. APT’s first tournament took place in May 2008 in Manila, Philippines.
