Lieferando.de, a German subsidiary of the well-known food online market place Takeaway.com, has started accepting Bitcoin Cash (BCH) as payment. Before accepting BCH, the only cryptocurrency accepted was Bitcoin, in addition to other traditional forms of payment.
It is a big recognition for the cryptocurrency, which had lost nearly 80% of its value from the peak price of about $4090 in January. Depending on the rise in popularity, Lieferando’s parent company Takeaway.com may start accepting Bitcoin Cash sooner in all the 9 European countries and Vietnam.
The arrival of SegWit facility has considerably decreased the transaction costs and confirmation times of Bitcoin (BTC). This has eroded the interest towards Bitcoin Cash (BCH).
