Deontay Wilder Issues 24hr ‘Take It Or Leave It Offer’ To Joshua

The fight between American boxer Deontay ‘Bronze Bomber’ Wilder and UK’s premier heavyweight king Anthony Joshua is what boxing fans have wanted to see for years. The two fighters haven’t been able to reach an agreement due to a number of reasons but it appears that they might finally able to sign on the dotted lines according to the latest Instagram post from Wilder.

Wilder is the WBC heavyweight champion and claims that he is the heavyweight king. His biggest challenge will be Anthony Joshua who holds the IBF,WBA, IBO and WBO titles. Joshua is without doubt the most popular of the two boxers and has over 6 million Instagram fans while Wilder is yet to cross the 1 million mark.

Instagram fans might be a silly mark to measure the popularity or greatness of these two boxers. However, it was the Instagram platform that Wilder used to issue a fresh challenge to Joshua and give him $50 million reasons to fight.

Joshua had earlier gone on record to state that he would accept the Wilder fight if he was guaranteed to make $50 million.

In a statement, Wilder’s manager Shelly Finkel said

It has to be the next fight for each of them. No rematch clause, and it's for all the belts. We asked for them to send us an acceptance [by the end of Thursday]. Joshua asked for $50 million against 50 percent, and we gave it to them. They probably don't believe it's this big of an offer, but it's an unbelievable offer. I hope they accept. Deontay is thrilled and believes Joshua will take it.

Joshua Accepts $50 Million Offer On Instagram

Anthony Joshua wasted no time and replied to Wilder’s Instagram post saying ‘Let’s Roll’. This will be the biggest fight in both boxer’s careers as Wilder currently has a 40-0 record with 39 KO’s while Joshua has 21 fights with 20 KO’s. Should the fight materialize, one of the two heavyweight kings will take their first loss.

Joshua has had all his fights take place in the United Kingdom and Wilder had earlier said that he would be willing to take the fight in the UK. However, that will most likely change as the fight offer gives Wilder the opportunity to select where the fight will take place. If Joshua does not object, the heavyweight fight will most likely take place in Las Vegas, Nevada and could be done before the end of 2018.
