The Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) will head to Newark, New Jersey on August 3 and two special guests will be at ringside.
Donald Trump Jr. and brother Eric Trump are expected to be in attendance as they have accepted the invite extended to them by Colby ‘Chaos’ Covington who will fight ‘Ruthless’ Robbie Lawler in the Main Event.
Colby Colvington is a big supporter of President Donald Trump and visited the Oval office to meet with the President when he won his Welterweight interim championship belt. The UFC would later strip Colby off the interim belt when he turned down a fight against former champion Tyron Woodley.
Robbie Lawler is a UFC veteran and the former Welterweight champion. He is also a former training partner of Colby as the two used to train at ATT. Lawler has since left the gym and there appears to be bad blood atleast on Colby’s side. UFC President Dana White has confirmed that if Colby Colvington wins his fight against Lawler, he will be guaranteed a title shot against the champ Kamaru Usman.

Colby is known for his trash talk and his ability to stir up controversy. Donald Trump Jr. referred to these traits when confirming his attendance to UFC Newark. Trump Jr. said Colby is known for his trash talking but also for his ability to back up what he says, which is similar to President Trump and his style.
Sportsbooks have Colby Covington as the favourite with odds of -217 and Robbie Lawler at +190. The fight will be for 5 five minute rounds and Colby has promised to not only walk away with a win but to also leave Lawler in a pool of blood.
That’s going to be quite a task given Lawler’s ability to take punishment and give as good as he gets. If Colby ends up on the losing side, he is going to get a lot of flak as he is the number one heel in the UFC!
Other Fights On The Card
There is no indication if the Trump brothers will be present for the entire card. There are some good fights scheduled for UFC Newark including the co-main event where veterans Jim Miller and Clay Guida will get it on.
Some of the other fights to watch out for are: Mickey Gall vs. Salim Touahri; Joaquim Silva vs. Nasrat Haqparast and Antonina Shevchenko vs. Lucie Pudilova.
