Ireland Publishes its list of Approved online betting firms

IrelandThe government of Ireland and its online regulation board have finally brought up a list of its approved betting firms who have been licensed to offer gaming services within their borders.

The Irish online gaming market which was officially opened on the 1st of August has published a list of 27 groups that will be allowed to provide online gaming services in the country. The online betting firms that have been given the waiver include reputable gaming firms that include Bet365, BetFred, BetFair, PokerStars, Paddy Power, Boyle Sports, William Hill, Gala Coral, 188Bet, Fulltilt, SkyBet and many others.

The Irish online gaming regulator further indicated that all other firms that are not included in the list and continue to offer online gaming services to the Irish residence will be deemed as illegal gambling sites and will face a fine of up to €300,000.

The Irish gaming regulator also stated that by creating a licensed industry, this will help the government to collect revenue of up to €25 million in fees and taxes annually.
