NBA Playoffs East Final: Raptors @ Bucks, Game 5 Preview

Updated On May 23, 2019 by Ryan Knuppel

Milwaukee Bucks vs. Toronto RaptorsThe Milwaukee Bucks held a commanding 2-0 series lead over the Toronto Raptors in the Eastern Conference Finals, but over the past two games that lead has diminished.

The Raptors have won two games in a row at home to tie the series at two games each.

The Bucks took the first two games 108-100 and 125-103 in convincing fashion, but the Raptors had a lot of fight left.

Toronto took both of the last two games 118-112 and 120-102 to even the series as we head back to Milwaukee.

The Bucks are favored to win by 6.5 points and the over / under is 217 points for game five.

Bucks Try to Stop Bleeding

Milwaukee Bucks is coming into game five a little shell shocked after losing a 2-0 series lead to the Raptors. The Bucks won both games at home so far so the Bucks are hoping that they are able to grab back control of the series. This next game will be pertinent for either team to win because it will hand the winning team all of the momentum.

In game four the Bucks started quickly and held a 12-5 lead before Toronto took over the game after the first quarter. The Bucks defense struggled to get stops and they paid the price as a hot Raptors team took full advantage of the Bucks mistakes. The Bucks also were outrebounded and gave up 10 offensive rebounds. The Bucks also came out in the third quarter flat and that was the nail in the coffin. Look for the Bucks to regroup and come out tough in game five.

Raptors are Looking to Win Another

With Kawhi Leonard favouring his leg a little bit after playing 52 minutes in Sunday’s win, other players on the Raptors stepped up in a big way. Kyle Lowry scored 25 points in the game and Norman Powell led the bench players with 18 points. Serge Ibaka had 17 points and 13 rebounds off of the bench and Fred VanVleet added in 13 points.

Leonard had 19 points in the game, but the Raptors needed others to step up and play a big part in the game to win. Leonard was playing well but ended up only playing 34 minutes in the game due to soreness. The Raptors are going to need to grab the continued play of the bench in order for them to win the series.

Game Five Should be One to Remember

The Raptors and the Bucks are both going to come out in this one with passion. Neither team wants to lose a pivotal game like this which would put the loser in a hole. The Bucks have been really solid at home during the playoffs and are going to need to continue that play at home to win.

I think the Raptors are going to give them a good game and keep it fairly close. Leonard wants to prove himself and I think he will in this one. Take the Raptors to cover the spread with Betonline.
