The Odds

The Favourites

Jason Day, Adam Scott (7-1): Jason Day and Adam Scott are the favorites this weekend, and for very good reason. Both players finished the top-20 at the 2019 Masters Tournament, and they have both had terrific careers. Adam Scott is capable of playing well, but look for Jason Day to carry this Australian duo.

Tommy Fleetwood, Sergio Garcia (8-1): This is one of the more interesting pairings of the weekend, but this duo could be one of the best. Both of these players have been struggling of late, but this European tandem could get the job done. Fleetwood is looking for his first win on Tour, and Garcia hasn’t won since the 2017 Masters.

Contenders

Patrick Cantlay, Patrick Reed (12-1): Patrick Reed is a former Masters champion, and Patrick Cantlay placed in a third-place tie at last week’s tournament. This duo could do some damage.

Ryan Palmer, Jon Rahm (16-1): Jon Rahm will have to carry his partner, Ryan Palmer, in this event, but he is capable of doing just that. A couple of big hitters who can shorten this course if they hit their drives in the fairway.

Billy Horschel, Scott Piercy (18-1): The defending champions are back to defend their crown, after shooting a -22 under par a year ago. They are clearly very comfortable on this course, and they should be in the mix again on Sunday.

Tony Finau, Kyle Stanley (18-1): Tony Finau has been one of the most consistent players on Tour since the 2018 Masters, and he is capable of going on a birdie spree on his own. If he gets any help from his partner, then they could win this thing.

Best of the Rest

Graeme McDowell, Henrik Stenson (20-1)
Louis Oosthuizen, Charl Schwartzel (25-1)
Scott Brown, Kevin Kisner (30-1)

All three of these pairings are terrific, but keep an eye on Kevin Kisner and Scott Brown. These are both relatively unknown golfers, but both of them have been trending up in their career of late.

Everyone Else 35-1 or Higher

A team from outside of the top nine group could very easily pull off a victory, but it would be a big surprise.

The Pick: It is always difficult to pick a winner at an event like this, because both players will need to play well to win. There are a ton of very talented teams, but the team of Tony Finau and Kyle Stanley just stands out. Two players that are trying to prove themselves on Tour, and Finau is capable of winning this thing by himself. Bet on Tony Finau and Kyle Stanley at 18-1 odds to win the Zurich Classic of New Orleans.
