Scientific Games’ efforts in the gaming and lottery industry are beginning to pay off handsomely after landing an impressive 10-year contract with the Oklahoma Lottery.
The contract grants them the sole rights to supply their Scientific Games Enhanced Partnership (SGEP) program as well as its central gaming system services for lotteries.
This is not the first time that the Oklahoma Lottery is partnering up with Scientific Games; the two go a long way back to 2005.
This new contract, however, takes that relationship to a new level. The new contract will allow the two to extend the contract by another five years.
Scientific Games will be providing a range of their services that include business intelligence software, their renowned instant game retail ecosystem (SCiQ), and self-service retail terminals by PlayCentral.
Oklahoma lottery sales have skyrocketed in recent years with retail sales from Scratchers going up by over 200 percent. This has generated over $50 million for the state and a lot of these funds have been used to develop the education system in Oklahoma.
Speaking on the monumental contract, Jay Finks, the Oklahoma Lottery Deputy Director, was quick to laud the accomplishments that the partnership between the two entities has brought to the industry. He added that with this new 10-year contract, the benefits for the students and teachers throughout the state were going to be significant.
Scientific Games are responsible for the supply of services to more than 2000 retailers that work with the Oklahoma Lottery. The firm designs and creates all the main features and aspects of the Oklahoma Scratchers games. This includes insights and analytics, optimizations, and logistics.
With the new contract, Scientific Games will be bringing out their A-game by making use of their SCiQ technology, which helps in automating retailer performances by tracking their accounting processes, the secure display of the games on top of monitoring each and every unit of product sold in real-time.
